The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden

The Coming King Prayer Garden Kerrville

Address: 520 Benson Dr, Kerrville, TX 78028
I’ve seen this giant cross from the highway before, but never stopped by. I’m so glad we did. We highly recommend you start your day at the awe-inspiring Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden.

High atop a hillside, this peaceful spot features a towering cross, serene pathways, and prayer rocks lining the trails. It’s the perfect place to reflect and take in breathtaking views of the Hill Country and start your day off in a quiet, meditative manner.

Pax Coffee and Goods

Address: 203-205 Earl Garrett St, Kerrville, TX 78028
Head downtown to Pax Coffee and Goods for a caffeine fix and some of the best pastries in town. This stylish coffee shop boasts a warm atmosphere with local artwork, making it an ideal spot to relax before diving into the rest of your day.

The space itself is super cool. A very unique coffee shop.

Kerrville Public Art and Murals

Location: Throughout Kerrville. View map here
Kerrville is bursting with colorful murals and sculptures. Take a stroll around town or follow the Public Art Trail map to find all the vibrant pieces scattered throughout the city and in nearby Ingram. Each mural tells a story and adds character to this artistic community.

Pint and Plow Brewing Company

Pint and Plow Kerrville

Address: 332 Clay St, Kerrville, TX 78028
For lunch, stop by Pint and Plow Brewing Company. This local favorite serves up fantastic beers and a menu filled with fresh, hearty options like the chicken salad sandwich (our favorite). The indoor-outdoor design of the space makes it a great place to unwind and enjoy Hill Country hospitality.

And should you need another caffeine fix, they also have a coffee room where you can get a latte or whatever warm beverage you like. They also have some cool merch.

Stonehenge II

Stonehenge II Kerrville

Address: Located at the Hill Country Arts Foundation, 120 Point Theatre Rd S, Ingram, TX 78025
Just a short drive to Ingram, Stonehenge II is a must-see roadside attraction. This impressive replica is 90% as tall and 60% as wide as the original Stonehenge and is surrounded by sculptures that add to the whimsical experience. Our son had a blast running around, weaving between all the stones.

The Museum of Western Art

Address: 1550 Bandera Hwy, Kerrville, TX 78028
Step into the rich history of the American West at the Museum of Western Art. Even if you can’t explore the inside (it was closed when we drove through), the outdoor statues are worth a visit. The museum offers exhibits showcasing the culture, artistry, and traditions of the Old West.

Kerrville River Trail

Location: Explore the trail map here
Wrap up your day with a walk along the Kerrville River Trail. This scenic pathway runs along the Guadalupe River, offering beautiful views and plenty of spots to relax. Whether you’re up for a leisurely stroll or some quiet time by the water, the River Trail is the perfect ending to a day in Kerrville. You can also rent kayaks – a great summer activity after all this rain!

And there you have it! That was a full day for us, and we arrived back home tired and content.
