Ongoing Summer Series

Here are some events you can catch ongoing throughout the summer.

Abendkonzerte at Main Plaza

On various summer Tuesdays starting June 2nd, experience traditional German music by the Boerne Village Band in downtown’s Main Plaza at 7:30 pm. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy this celebration of Boerne’s German heritage.

Moondance Outdoor Concert Series

Six nights of live music under the stars at the Cibolo Nature Center. May through October. Family fun with games, food trucks, and a beer tent.

First Saturdays on Main

Join us for a lively community evening on the first Saturday of the month along the Hill Country Mile!

This monthly event is presented by The Boerne Life in partnership with the Boerne Retail & Restaurant Owners Association, bringing together locals and visitors for an evening of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Shops and boutiques stay open late, offering exclusive discounts, special promotions, and opportunities to discover new favorites.

Guests can stroll the Hill Country Mile while enjoying live music and a welcoming, festive atmosphere. Whether exploring local businesses, meeting friends, or simply taking in the energy of downtown Boerne, the event offers a fun and engaging way to spend a Saturday evening.

Movie in the Pool

Boerne Parks and Rec screens family movies all summer long:

  • June 12 – LILO & Stitch (Municpal Pool)
  • July 17 – Zootopia 2 2 (Municipal Pool)

Pre-movie fun starts at 7 pm with food trucks, bounce houses, and games.

Boerne Market Days

Usually the second weekend monthly at Main Plaza, June’s Market Days will likely be bumped to the third week due to Das Festival of Kendall. Explore local vendors, handmade goods, food trucks, and open-air shopping.

Music in the Cave

Concerts in the Cave Without a Name’s Throne Room. This is a one-of-a-kind nighttime experience.

Featured: Das Festival of Kendall

Father’s Day weekend, celebrate our German heritage with the biggest festival of the summer. Parade on Saturday morning, watermelon eating contest. dachshund races, stein holding, and much more. Learn more here.

Summer Kick Off Event at the Library

May 30 – Dinosaur fun to kick off kids summer programming at the library from noon until 3 pm. Register here.

Aid the Silent 5K Run/Walk + Family Fishing Tournament

June 6 – 5K at 7 am (a very popular race at Main Plaza), Fishing starts at 7:30 am (Boerne Lake). Two great community events that bring people together. We run this 5K almost every year! More info on the fishing tournament here.

Texas Game Fair

June 12-13 – This is one of the biggest outdoor events in all of the hill Country. Hosted in partnership with the San Antonio Rodeo Wildlife & Natural Resources Committee, this family-friendly event brings together outdoor sports, demonstrations, competitions, live music, wild game cooking, and a huge exhibitor village at one of the most beautiful ranches in the Hill Country. Tour de Boerne

June 27 – Ride 28–63 miles through the Hill Country. Begins at 7 am from the Joshua Springs Park & Preserve.

Texas Women’s Veterans Day Ceremony

June 27 – Honor the women who have served in the U.S. military at this special community recognition ceremony at Veteran’s Plaza.

Family Night at the Pool

July 3 – Free evening at the pool with fun activities from 7 – 9 pm.
