Boerne Native Goes Viral as “The Lorax” at Jonas Brothers Concert

The internet has found its newest viral star, and she’s from right here in Boerne.

Brittany Taylor, daughter of Chris Taylor who owns Taylor’s Ace Hardware, made national headlines after showing up to the Jonas Brothers/All-American Rejects concert in San Antonio dressed as The Lorax, complete with the signature orange suit, bushy mustache, and a pillow-stuffed belly.

During the show, the All-American Rejects noticed her in the crowd and called her on stage to dance during their performance of smash hit “Gives You Hell.” The moment instantly went viral across social media, with concertgoers sharing clips that racked up hundreds of thousands of views. Even the band joined in, posting the video to their Instagram account (you can watch below, but language warning from the singer in the video!).

Kendall Taylor Giusti, a member of the Taylor family and familiar face around Boerne’s business community, confirmed the local tie.

“Boerne native Brittany Taylor is going viral right now for dressing as the Lorax at the Jonas Brothers concert over the weekend and getting pulled on stage by the All American Rejects. MySA just did an article on her. The All American Rejects posted her on their Instagram too,” said Giusti.

On her own Instagram page, Brittany reflected on the whirlwind moment, writing:

“I don’t even know what to say. I’m on cloud 9 just reliving this moment today. I really want to thank The All-American Rejects for making an unforgettable moment for me… Everyone on the internet has been nothing but kind, and it’s warmed my heart knowing I was able to make all of you smile! I love you all. And remember, ‘Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.’ – Dr. Seuss, The Lorax.”

From the Frost Bank Center stage to the Hill Country, Boerne’s Lorax has spoken — and everyone’s listening.
