Art AfterHours – Peyote Stitch at Hill Country Council for the Arts

Art AfterHours – Peyote Stitch introduces participants to a traditional Indigenous beading technique that uses seed beads, needle, and thread to create structured patterns and designs. Peyote stitch, a form of brickwork beading, allows artists to build intricate shapes while developing an understanding of pattern, color selection, and form. The class also explores the history of the technique along with practical guidance on seed bead sizing and shapes, beading needle styles, and thread options.
This workshop will take place on July 14 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Hill Country Council for the Arts, located at 102 City Park Rd., Boerne, TX 78006. Participants will select their own colors and patterns to create a unique finished piece. Admission is $35 and includes instruction and materials. The class is suitable for beginners as well as those looking to expand their fiber and beadwork skills.
