Art AfterHours – Solar Printing introduces participants to a light-activated dyeing process that uses UV exposure to create detailed and expressive textile designs. This workshop explores how sunlight transforms treated fabric as found objects, negative shapes, and three-dimensional elements are arranged to form unique compositions. As the fabric is exposed to light, the dye shifts in color and becomes permanent, resulting in striking images that can range from bold contrasts to subtle tone-on-tone effects.

The class will be held on August 11 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Hill Country Council for the Arts, located at 102 City Park Rd., Boerne, TX 78006. Admission is $35 and includes instruction and materials. This session is well suited for beginners and experienced artists alike who are interested in textile arts, surface design, and experimental processes.
