Personal stories and regional history take center stage during the No Blank Canvas: Mixed-Media Workshop with Isaac Grigar at Hill Country Council for the Arts. This hands-on workshop invites participants to explore memory, storytelling, and sense of place through a combination of acrylic painting, collage, and image transfer techniques.

The workshop will take place on June 5 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Participants will create layered mixed-media artwork using printed images that hold personal significance, such as family photographs, meaningful places, or cultural references. Through guided instruction, students will learn how to combine paint, drawing, and collage elements into a finished canvas that reflects personal and regional narratives.

The class is part of the No Blank Canvas project in collaboration with Patrick Heath Public Library’s Memory Lab, a program highlighting under-told stories from the Texas Hill Country. All skill levels are welcome, and students are responsible for bringing their own materials.
