Star Party with the San Antonio Astronomical Association at Guadalupe River State Park

Star Party with the San Antonio Astronomical Association offers an evening of stargazing and celestial exploration in a scenic outdoor setting. The event will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026 and Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 8 pm to 10 pm at Guadalupe River State Park.
Guests can drop in at any time during the event to view the moon, constellations, planets, and more through telescopes provided by members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association and park staff. The event is designed for all ages and offers a fun and educational way to experience the night sky.
The gathering will be held in the large overflow parking lot near the park road, with signage directing visitors to the location. Admission is free with park entry, which is $7 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
Visitors arriving after hours without a reservation may use the self-pay station at the park office or reserve a day pass online in advance. In case of inclement weather, cancellations will be announced by 2 pm on the day of the event.
