Update: The snow cone stand at Main Street and River Road has been completely removed. The building was taken down over the weekend and the area is taped off. No word on what will fill in the space.
One of the more popular family attractions in Boerne on a hot day is the snow cone stand at the corner of River Road and Main Street. Unfortunately, The Stand by Dienger closed its doors, took the tables and chairs, and moved on as of August 18th.
The good news is, The Stand will be reopening in The Dienger Trading Co. parking lot at 210 N Main St. some time in the fall. No specific date has been announced.
The sign hanging on the window says that they lost their lease. No word on if a new snow cone business will replace it or not. Prior to The Stand, the space was another snow cone business, Sno-Biz.
