Kinderpark, formerly known as “Optimist Park,” is a popular spot located at the corner of Water Street and Highland Street, just off Main Street. Originally developed in 1997 with support from the local Optimist Club, the park was upgraded in 2016 to meet ADA standards and renamed in honor of Boerne’s German heritage.

This fully shaded park features playgrounds, a large slide, a climbing wall, a covered pavilion, picnic areas, and benches. Currently, new restrooms are being added, further enhancing the park’s family-friendly amenities.
