A familiar team hints at a fresh start in Comfort, Texas

When Rivulet Kitchen & Bar quietly closed earlier this year, loyal fans were left saddened and wondering what happened. The restaurant’s former Boerne space soon reopened as Sunny’s, and it’s been buzzing ever since.

But for those who missed the original Rivulet vibe (and food), we have some good news for you.

While strolling down High Street in Comfort last week, we spotted a sign outside the old post office building at 713 High Street, next door to Hotel Giles and across from High’s Café. The sign read:

“Coming Soon: Both Hands Burger Bar – Full Bar, Draft Beer, Great Bites”

A closer look revealed a TABC permit filed by The Rill, LLC. Boerne residents might recall that The Rivulet was originally called “The Rill” before a rebrand.

After a bit of searching around online, we found that The Rivulet’s Facebook page has also changed names, officially previewing their next act: Both Hands Burger Bar.

There’s no opening date yet, but they said they’ll be announcing an opening date soon. And if the Rivulet’s original fan base is any indication, locals will be watching closely. In fact, one Facebook comment said, “We are so excited to see you open! It’s the topic of conversation all over town, lol.”

With the promise of a full bar and casual bites, Both Hands could bring a fresh, flavorful energy to Comfort.
