Boerne has already welcomed plenty of new businesses in 2026, but the year isn’t finished yet.
From a new car dealership and veterinary hospital to restaurants, retail and a new wine destination on Main Street, several projects we’ve been following are getting noticeably closer to opening their doors.
We recently drove around town to check on the progress ourselves. Some have opening dates on the calendar, while others are still putting the finishing touches on their spaces.
Here are eight businesses we’re watching as we head into the final months of 2026.
Want to watch the video summery? You can find that below.
1. Honda of Boerne
One of the largest projects on this list is quickly taking shape along I-10.
Honda of Boerne is under construction at 31905 I-10, with the dealership currently planning to open Nov. 1.
The new dealership will offer automotive sales, service and parts. Honda of Boerne is backed by Pohanka Automotive Group, a longtime automotive dealer group with locations across several states.
We’ve been following the project throughout construction, and there’s still plenty of work happening on the site, but the dealership itself is now easy to spot from I-10.
Opening: Nov. 1
Location: 31905 I-10, Boerne
2. Firehouse Subs
Boerne is getting a Firehouse Subs, and this one has a local connection.
The restaurant is moving into the former GameStop space at 1375 S. Main St. #221, next to StretchLab. Construction is underway inside, and a “Coming Soon” sign is now hanging in the window.
Local franchise owner William Ellis has deep ties to the Hill Country. His mother grew up just down the road in Comfort, where his family still owns property today. Ellis and his wife, Maryjane, were also longtime Firehouse Subs customers before eventually deciding to open one themselves.
The team is currently targeting an opening around the end of September or beginning of October.
Expected opening: Late September or early October
Location: 1375 S. Main St. #221
3. The New Bar at Cypress Grille
This one isn’t an entirely new business, but it’s a significant addition to a longtime Boerne restaurant.
Cypress Grille has been undergoing a refresh that includes a brand-new full bar in the neighboring space. The new area connects with the existing restaurant, creating an expanded experience while Chef Paul continues in the kitchen.
When we stopped by recently, the transformation was well underway, with the new bar space taking shape behind the doors next to the restaurant.
The refreshed Cypress Grille will open very soon and the new bar is currently expected to make their debut during the first weekend of October.
Expected opening: First weekend of October
Location: Downtown Boerne
4. Highview Veterinary Hospital
A new locally owned veterinary hospital is also getting close to opening.
Highview Veterinary Hospital is being opened by husband-and-wife veterinarians Dr. Mike Rauch and Dr. Amelia Rauch, both Texas A&M graduates who have been practicing since 2020.
The hospital will offer routine veterinary services along with sick and urgent care, advanced surgery, allergy care and dentistry.
According to the owners, they’re currently working toward final inspections with the city and expect to have a firm opening date once those are complete.
For now, they’re targeting early October.
Expected opening: Early October
5. LE STEAK by Tardif
The former Creek Restaurant property is getting a new chapter.
LE STEAK by Tardif is currently being built out at the longtime restaurant property along Cibolo Creek. The new concept comes from Chef Jean Tardif and is described as a modern take on the classic French steak-frites house.
Expect prime beef, house-made sauces, frites and curated wines.
Renovations are still underway, but there’s been another visible sign of progress recently: a LE STEAK sign is now up at the property. The restaurant has also become more active on social media, sharing glimpses of what’s being created inside.
An official opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but the project continues to move forward.
Opening: Coming soon
6. Hill & Bach Cellars
Another project we’ve been watching closely is Hill & Bach Cellars at 265 N. Main St.
The new wine destination is taking shape on a beautiful property beneath a giant pecan tree, and recent construction has included work both inside and throughout the outdoor courtyard.
According to a recent update from Hill & Bach Cellars, the dark wood ceilings in the main Luckenbach room have been stained, while additional decking is going into the courtyard.
Their latest timeline put the opening at roughly a month and a half away, which would place it around late October if everything stays on track.
Expected opening: Approximately late October
Location: 265 N. Main St.
7. Panda Express
Boerne Town Center is getting another restaurant, and this one is hard to miss now.
Panda Express is under construction near the intersection of IH-10 and Christus Parkway. The building has come a long way since we first started following the project, with the recognizable Panda Express exterior now taking shape.
According to the most recent project filing we’ve seen with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction was expected to be completed Oct. 27.
That’s a projected construction completion date, not an official restaurant opening date, so there could still be some time between completion and the first orange chicken order going out the door.
Expected construction completion: Oct. 27
Location: IH-10 & Christus Parkway, Boerne Town Center
8. Red Wing
Also coming to Boerne Town Center is Red Wing.
The footwear retailer is going into Suite 103 at 34702 IH-10. Temporary “Coming Soon” signage is now up on the building, and work continues inside.
The store is expected to carry Red Wing Shoes, Irish Setter Boots and other footwear, along with insoles, gloves, leather goods and boot-care products. Red Wing also says the Boerne store will offer its Ultimate Fit Experience, which uses foot-scanning technology to help customers find the right fit.
Original project filings listed a July 31 construction completion date, but that date has passed and the store has not yet opened. An official opening date hasn’t been announced.
Opening: Coming soon
Location: 34702 IH-10, Suite 103, Boerne Town Center
More New Businesses Are on the Way
And these eight aren’t the end of Boerne’s growth.
Between new construction, redevelopment of existing spaces and the next phase of Boerne Town Center beginning to take shape, there are plenty more projects we’ll be keeping an eye on heading into 2027.
As always, opening timelines can change because of construction, inspections, permitting and all the other fun things that come with opening a business. We’ll continue checking in on these projects and sharing updates as opening dates are announced.
