Have you seen the Texas Regional Bank being built at the corner of Herff Road and Oak Park? Well, a second building is going up right next to it—and we now know what it is. The site will become Boerne Center, a new commercial strip center designed for multiple retail and restaurant tenants.

Renderings for the project show placeholders for concepts like a bakery or dining space, but no businesses have officially signed on just yet.

“We do not have any confirmed tenants in Boerne yet,” leasing agent Matthew Lopez told us. “However, we are in talks with a couple of users.”

This is the latest development along the rapidly growing Herff Road corridor. Earlier this month, The Woodmont Company held a groundbreaking ceremony at 12 Herff Road for the Herff & River District, a new project that will feature two restaurants from Chef Jacob Williamson—12 Herff Steakhouse and Meet Me Outside—along with a Kiddie Academy and future retail space.

Farther down Herff near Gallant Fox, a new Starbucks is also in the works as part of the SoBo District. That location will sit next to the planned BoERne ER facility and is currently trying to get a drive-thru permit.
