A Boerne resident just claimed one of the top prizes in the Texas Lottery’s $400 Million Mega Bucks scratch-off game… a $5 million win!
The lucky ticket was sold at 1415 E. Blanco Rd., the Metro Stop across from Boerne High school. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous (who can blame them?), but the payout is public: they’re now $5 million richer.
This is only the second of four $5 million top prizes claimed so far in the game, which has more than $419 million in total prizes. The odds of winning any prize in this scratch-off are about 1 in 3.84.
Did You Know Someone in Boerne Won $20 Million a Couple Years Ago?
This isn’t the first big win in town. Back in 2023, a Boerne resident quietly won the top prize in the $20 Million Supreme scratch-off game. That ticket was sold at another gas station on E. Blanco Road, the Shell across from the Masonic Lodge and Boerne Community Theatre.
That winner also stayed anonymous, but the $20 million prize remains one of the biggest wins in Boerne lottery history.
So these two instances combined lead us to wonder… maybe it’s time to stop by a convenience store on Blanco Road?
