Boerne Teams Roll Into the Area Playoffs

Boerne Teams Roll Into the Area Playoffs

It’s another big week for Boerne football!

The Boerne Greyhounds and Champion Chargers both dominated in the first round of the playoffs, with Boerne winning 42–13 and Champion rolling past their opponent 41–14. Now, both teams head south to Laredo’s Bill Johnson Stadium for the area round.

We were on the field Friday night for the Greyhounds win and couldn’t be more proud!

A strong season starts with a strong defense, and the same goes for your home. Our partners at Wilson Roofing & Renovations say fall is the perfect time for a preventative roof inspection before winter weather rolls in. It’s calm now, but small leaks and flashing issues can sneak up on you if left unchecked.

So what’s next for our local teams?

On Thursday, November 20, the Greyhounds face Sharyland-Pioneer at 7 p.m. Then on Friday, November 21, the Chargers take on an undefeated Pharr San Juan-Alamo North team, kickoff also at 7 p.m.

Both games will be in Laredo at the Bill Johnson Stadium.

And don’t forget about Geneva School of Boerne, who advanced after their first-round win. They’ll take on All Saints Episcopal School from Tyler (8–3) this Friday night at 7 p.m.

From the Greyhounds to the Chargers to the Eagles — Boerne football is alive and thriving this postseason.
