After skipping 2024, Boerne’s unofficial holiday legend returned Christmas morning 2025, posted up downtown from about 9 am until noon, robe on, hose in hand, fully committed to the bit.
And judging by the response, people were more than ready to see him again.
A Boerne Tradition, No One Officially Planned
For those new to town, this isn’t a one-time thing. The man behind Cousin Eddie told us he’s been doing this for five to six years, quietly turning Christmas morning into something a little more ridiculous and a lot more fun.
There’s no schedule. No announcement. No guarantees he’ll be there. Which somehow makes it even better.
After not showing up last year, plenty of locals wondered if the tradition had quietly ended. That made this year’s return feel extra special.

We stopped by, grabbed photos and video, and shared on Instagram and Facebook.
What happened next was wild.
In less than 24 hours, the video racked up nearly one million views, with thousands of shares and hundreds of comments pouring in from locals and people far beyond Boerne.
