A Chase Bank retail location is officially in the works for Boerne, and it’s slated for the former Shell gas station site across from H-E-B at 414 W. Bandera Road.
The Details
According to a new filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), a 3,346-square-foot retail space is set to be developed on the site, with construction expected to begin May 1, 2025, and wrap up by January 15, 2026.
That said, a a 30-day time extension for Chase Bank Major Development Plat is on the docket for the April 6th Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting. So those dates are subject to change.
While the Shell station was demolished quite a while ago and its underground tanks removed, the original pole sign has remained—a blank source of speculation for locals.
The confirmation of a Chase Bank adds clarity to a location that has long drawn curiosity from Boerne residents.
What Else?
This marks the second Chase Bank branch planned for the area, following the recent announcement of a separate location at Lemon Creek Ranch, just off I-10. That site, part of a growing development anchored by H-E-B, is also expected to open in early 2026 and will share space with businesses like Marble Slab Creamery and Pacific Dental Services.
The 414 W. Bandera site is particularly notable for its central location along a high-traffic stretch of Boerne, directly across from H-E-B and next to Taco Cabana and Denny’s. Once complete, it will offer added convenience for residents and small business owners who currently travel to the Dominion area for Chase services.
