If you’ve been out to Market Days, you’ve likely come across Platinum Brix Winery. It’s a local, veteran-owned winery off Upper Cibolo Creek Road. And if you aren’t yet familiar with them, you likely will be soon.
That’s because owner Jeff Berwell is looking to open a small tasting room at 248 N Main Street, in between the Dienger Trading Co. and the Boerne Visitor Center. The small building used to be the Bee Pink Boutique and before that was an oral surgeon.
At the City Council meeting on May 28th, the Council approved a permit for the Platinum Brix tasting room, with the next step being approval from the TABC.
The tasting room will not be serving food – just wine tastings and closed bottles to go.
It appears they will be sharing the space with The Iron Hummingbird, a boutique that moved from off I-10, as well as Real Fashion Boutique. The building is being dubbed “The Chateau” and looks to create a shop and sip experience.
