If you run a small business or you’re a freelancer, or you just have a project you need to on, sometimes you need to get out of the home office for a change of scenery. In fact, that’s what we’re doing as we write this.
The good news is that Boerne has plenty of great spots to work out and about. From quiet library corners to cozy coffee shops and even breweries with midday space to spare, here’s a roundup of the best places in town to post up with a laptop.

This guide is sponsored by our friends at ClearView Bookkeeping, based right here in Boerne. They help small business owners keep their books in order, their expenses tracked, and their stress levels down.
Whether you’re just starting out or scaling up, ClearView can help you stay financially organized — even if your “office” moves around town. Learn more about how they can help you here.
1. Patrick Heath Public Library

One of the best kept secrets in town for remote work, the Boerne Library offers quiet communal spaces, both upstairs and downstairs, with plenty of room to spread out. For more privacy, you can reserve one of their free private rooms for up to two hours — we use these sometimes for meetings or Zoom calls.
When the weather is nice, you can beat working on the patio either, overlooking the playground, amphitheater, and dry creek.
There’s also a silent study room where no talking is allowed, which is ideal for deep focus sessions. Fast Wi-Fi, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful Hill Country views if you’re on the second floor make this a top-tier choice. Oh and it’s free.
2. Office Box of Boerne
If you’re looking for a more structured space with lots of options, Office Box is Boerne’s only dedicated coworking hub. You’ll find workstations, dedicated desks, hangout hubs, private offices, breakout rooms, and conference spaces — all available by the day, month, or more with no contracts or deposits.
It’s open 24/7, the coffee is free, and the energy is a perfect mix of peaceful and productive. Great for anyone needing a more professional setup without the long-term lease.
That said, this option isn’t free. But if you’re serious about an office away from home, this is your spot.
3. Das Greenhaus
Da Greenhaus is a business Incubator with office space and Co-working space, entrepreneurial training and mentors. Basically everything a small business could need!
Coworking is part of the Das GreenHaus Membership ($125/month) which includes full access to their building from Monday-Friday between 9 am – 5 pm. This also includes use of their private meeting and conference rooms. And of course, free wi-fi, free coffee, free parking, and great company.
Coworking is also available for daily access at $25/day.
4. Black Rifle Coffee Company
Right in the heart of downtown, Black Rifle Coffee offers an open environment we find to be great for getting work done. There’s plenty of seating, dependable Wi-Fi, and strong coffee to keep you going.
It’s also a solid spot for casual work meetings — easy to find, central, and with a relaxed vibe that doesn’t feel overly “corporate.”
The only downside here is sometimes it gets crowded, and it can prove difficult to find seating.
5. Bakery Lorraine
For a slightly more refined setting, Bakery Lorraine offers indoor tables, a beautiful outdoor patio with giant shade trees, and a menu of artisan pastries and sandwiches that make working here feel like a treat.
The pace is mellow during the mid-morning and early afternoon hours, and it’s a great choice for a working lunch or a light meeting with clients. They also carry Merit Coffee, which is a big plus in our book.
6. The Cup at Bergheim
Just on the edge of Boerne over by Voss Middle School, The Cup at Bergheim offers a cozy setting with great coffee, reliable Wi-Fi, and a peaceful vibe. This is a quieter coffee shop, making it ideal for focused work sessions or casual one-on-one meetups.
The welcoming atmosphere and spacious layout make it feel more like a hidden retreat than a busy café.
Oh, and they probably have the best straight up cappuccino in Boerne. Just sayin’.
7. 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen
You might not think of a brewery as a great place to work, but sometimes we like to work at breweries midafternoon before they get busy. 28 Songs Brewhouse is a favorite thanks to its large interior, plenty of seating, and relaxed midday environment.
During off-peak hours, you can find a quiet table to work from or host an informal meeting. And yes — grabbing a pint once you wrap things up is highly encouraged. Or sometimes while you work. Depends on your job!
8. Cibolo Creek Brewing Co.
Located right on the Hill Country Mile, Cibolo Creek Brewing has both indoor and outdoor spaces that are welcoming during slower hours. It’s a charming place to knock out a few tasks or catch up with a client over lunch.
Great Wi-Fi, great food, and a local vibe that never feels too busy during work hours. They have good ice tea here as well if you’re not looking to have a beer.
9. The Bevy Hotel Lobby
For a polished, professional feel, the Bevy Hotel lobby is a hidden gem. There’s comfortable seating, strong Wi-Fi, and a quiet atmosphere — perfect for remote work or quick business meetings.
You don’t need to be a guest to enjoy the space. Grab a coffee, settle in, and enjoy the calm. Or if you go later in the day, you can grab a drink or snack at the bar.
10. The Richter
The hallway that runs through The Richter is a cool spot to work. There are multiple tables, a Model T for decoration, and nice breeze typically. If you’re lucky, you can even get a glimpse of Boerne Radio working through their window!
They also have a great covered outdoor space in between the bakery and the bookshop for when the weather is nice.
Bring your laptop, grab a bite at Cork & Keg or the bakery, and you’ll be surprised how much you can get done before the evening crowd rolls in.
Whether you’re building a business, meeting with clients, or just trying to get out of the house, Boerne has plenty of remote work options that go beyond the usual office. Try a few out and find your ideal work spot — and if you’re a small business owner needing help with the back-end of things, don’t forget to check out ClearView Bookkeeping for support that moves with you.
