With a couple of new spots slated to open, along with plenty of hidden gems many of you have probably yet to try, there are plenty of great restaurants you need to add to your foodie bucket list this year.
With that in mind, here is our list of 10 must-try Boerne restaurants in 2025!
Featured: 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen
28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen is a veteran-owned and operated establishment brewpub that features 28 taps with the most in-house brewed beers of any brewery in the area! Whether you like light beers, IPAs, nitro stouts… they have it all!
While it’s local brews might steal the show, 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen is a family-friendly business offer crowd pleasing food like burgers, wings, pizza, and more.
So whether you’re looking to have lunch with the kids (the food is as good as the brews!), watch the game with your buddies on the wall of TVs, or hit happy hour for a beer after a long day of work, you’re going to want to give it a try in 2025.
Located on the north end of Main Street, 28 Songs is close enough to be easy to get to but just removed enough to where you might not know it’s there! Or maybe you’ve driven by it and didn’t realize it’s a restaurant surrounded by warehouses on the more industrial side of town.

Pinchy’s Lobster & Raw Bar
Location: 250 River Rd, Boerne, TX 78006
I honestly can’t remember the last time a new restaurant has created as much hype and anticipation as Pinchy’s Lobster & Raw Bar. Just look how much interest the post we made on Facebook garnered (featured above).
Opening in February 2025, this much-anticipated addition brings coastal vibes to the Hill Country. From fresh lobster to a curated raw bar experience, Pinchy’s promises to be a must-visit destination. Read more about it here.
Offline BBQ
Location: 448 S Main St, Boerne, TX 78006
They say third time’s a charm. Well if that’s the case, we expect Offline BBQ to be out of this world.
Owned and operated by the minds behind Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. and Hamby’s, this walk-up BBQ stand will serve creative, high-quality smoked meats. Located in the beer garden of Cibolo Creek, Offline BBQ is set to open soon and will be a perfect addition to Boerne’s food scene.
Oben
Location:153 S Main St, Boerne, TX 78006
The name “Oben” might ring a bell as a private members-only club on the third floor above Richter Tavern. But what you might not know is that Oben has transitioned from a private club to an upscale dining experience open to the public.
Open Thursday through Saturday evenings, it’s perfect for date nights, offering champagne flights, craft cocktails, and a breathtaking space on the patio. 2025 is your chance to see what members only have enjoyed for the last few years.
Compadres Hill Country Cocina
Location: 209 Lohmann St, Boerne, TX 78006
If no one has told you about it, you might not know Compadres Hill Country Cocina is tucked right off North Main Street, on Lohmann in an old house. or maybe you know about it, but you went and they were all sold out.
Whatever the case, this veteran-owned gem serves authentic serves a hybrid of BBQ and Tex-Mex that might be the best you’ll ever have.
Open for lunch Monday through Saturday, it’s a spot that often sells out, so arrive early. Chef Mark Sierra plans on tweaking the menu a bit for the new year, so make sure to add it to your 2025 bucket list.
Casa Amaya Pupuseria & Taqueria
Location: 109 Waterview Pkwy #103, Boerne, TX 78006
If you’re craving something different, head to Casa Amaya for authentic Salvadoran cuisine. Known for its pupusas, fried sweet plantains, and other traditional dishes, this spot relocated from its previous house location next to Mary’s Tacos and continues to impress.
That said, it’s current location is tucked back behind a strip center that houses Subway and some other businesses, so it’s hard to see.
People also swear by their breakfast tacos and pizza, but I’ve yet to try them (I always get the pupusas!).
Small Batch Bodega
Location: 325 S Main St, Boerne, TX 78006
We discovered this modern Texas-Japanese eatery when it was just a table at Boerne Market Days and we immediately hooked. I’m pretty sure I went to three Market Days in a row just to buy their bao buns.
Now Small Batch Baodega runs their own food truck in the beer garden behind Free Roam Brewing and is open Thursday through Sunday. With offerings like bao buns, ramen, and fresh bowls, it’s a modern and flavorful twist on Boerne’s culinary scene. Highly recommend.
Hungry Horse Restaurant
Location: 109 Saunders St, Boerne, TX 78006
A local favorite just a few blocks off Main Street, Hungry Horse is your go-to for country cooking. With hearty portions of chicken-fried steak, catfish, and other homestyle fare, it’s a comforting spot that locals keep coming back to.
It’s an easy place to find something the kids will want to eat. And worth noting, while I am not a liver fan, people have told me you have to try the liver.
Mi Pueblo Panaderia
Location: 1008 N Main St, Boerne, TX 78006
This unassuming, grab-and-go bakery was new to town in 2024 and offers some of the best values in town. From $1-$2 pastries like conchas and empanadas, Mi Pueblo is the perfect spot to grab a sweet treat before starting your day.
Affordable and delicious, it’s a hidden gem on North Main Street in the Live Oak Shopping Center.
Tacos Losoya
Location: 8 Cascade Cavern, Boerne, TX 78015
Every time I ask the loaded question “who has better breakfast tacos, Mary’s or Mague’s?” multiple people inevitable reply “you need to hit up the food truck on Cascade Caverns Road.”
So for breakfast or street tacos, Boerne locals say you need to head to this taco truck that rivals Boerne’s best-known spots. Serving big, fresh, and affordable tacos, Tacos Losoya is a local secret you’ll want to keep in your rotation.
The problem is, unless you live on that side of town (over by the movie theater), you probably don’t even know it exists. Hey, I run The Boerne Life and I didn’t even realize it was there – so this is on my personal list to try in 2025!
