Boerne’s GameStop Is Closing

According to a sign posted on the door, the Boerne GameStop location will officially close on January 8, 2026. The notice thanks customers for their loyalty and notes that any existing product reservations will be transferred to another GameStop location in the San Antonio area.

The Boerne store is located in a shopping center along South Main, alongside businesses like StretchLab and Domino’s. While GameStop has not made a public announcement specific to this location, the closure notice confirms that the store will no longer be operating after January 8th.

Customers with reservations or trade-ins are directed to nearby locations, including the La Cantera area in San Antonio, and the sign notes a limited-time trade-in bonus at participating stores after the closure if you present a picture of the sign.

As of now, there’s no word on what may replace the GameStop space once it officially closes. We’ll keep an eye on the location and share updates if and when something new is announced.

Boerne’s GameStop location is the most recent business in town closing. Other recent closures include Bush’s Chicken off Highway 46 and Red Rooster off Main Street.
