If you’ve had your hair cut by Mariel Salas, you already know: she gives one of the best men’s haircuts you can get in town. And now, after more than a decade styling men’s hair in Boerne, Mariel is opening her very own studio.

Starting Wednesday, July 2, you can find her at The Den Premium Men’s Salon at 714 S Main St, Suite 300. It’s just a short move from her previous home at Trim Studio. (Fun fact: I was her last haircut there. Yes, it was excellent.)

Mariel’s story is pure Boerne. Raised right here, her parents moved to town in 1985. She got her start in the local industry 11 years ago at the original Boerne premium men’s salon, Gent (Another fun fact: I used to get my hair cut there, too). She then spent six years at J. Groomed before moving on.

Along the way, she’s built a loyal following thanks to her skill, consistency, and attention to detail.

But The Den Premium Men’s Salon marks a big milestone: it’s Mariel’s first fully independent space. It gives her the freedom to be her own boss and work her own hours, be present for her family, and keep doing what she loves—helping Boerne’s men look and feel their best.

Mariel’s service menu includes precision haircuts, beard trims, hot towels, straight razor shaves, and more. She cuts men’s hair as well as little boys’.
