October means fall will really start to set in here in Boerne. The mornings are cooling off and hopefully the afternoons and evenings will soon follow. And that means we’ll all be looking for reasons to get outside and enjoy the weather.
This month brings everything from pumpkin patches and concerts to markets, fundraisers, and plenty of fall festivals. Here are some of the biggest events to mark on your calendar.
1. Featured: Hunting at Joshua Creek Ranch
October is a big month at Joshua Creek Ranch, with hunting season in full swing and a special Oktoberfest dinner joining the calendar.
Open Line Driven Shoots are scheduled for October 17 and 31, giving individual hunters and smaller groups a chance to experience JCR’s European-style driven pheasant and mallard shooting.
Then on October 17, Chef Robert Kennon and his team are serving a special Oktoberfest dinner featuring a full German-inspired menu and bar specials. click the button below for more info!

2. First Saturday on Main – Oct 3
Shop stores on the Hill Country late this Saturday! From 5-8 pm, expect specials, refreshments, and more up and down the Main street!
3. The Cibolo Gala – Oct 3

9. Family Camp Out at Boerne City Lake – Oct 10
