Here at The Boerne Life, fall just might be our favorite season. The weather finally starts to cool down, events start to ramp up after the summer lull, and we start looking forward to all the holidays.
With that in mind, we’ve pulled together a giant list of activities to look forward to this fall in Boerne. Let’s take a look!

Dance instructor Stephanie brings decades of experience and high energy to a fun night of line dancing under the winery lights. No partner needed . Just grab a glass of wine and hit the floor.
3. Family Night Hike at the Cibolo – Oct 3
Take the kids on a guided hike at sunset to spot nocturnal wildlife along the trails. It’s an after-dark adventure designed with little explorers in mind. Learn more here.
4. Family Camp Out at Boerne City Lake – Oct 4
Pitch a tent, light the lanterns, and spend the night at Boerne City Lake. This is the only night of the year camping is allowed. Bring your own gear and enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and a starry sky. Learn more here.
5. Boerne Book Festival – Oct 4

6. Fall Market Day at Cibolo Creek Community Church – Oct 4
Cibolo Creek Community Church hosts this fall market in Fair Oaks Ranch filled with vendors, food trucks, and family fun. It’s kid and pet-friendly, so bring the whole crew.
7. Hill Country’s Got Talent – Oct 4
Boerne Community Theatre will host the Ninth Annual Hill Country’s Got Talent on October 4, 2025, at 7 pm at the Jones Family Event Center in Boerne. This year’s theme is The Fabulous 50s, with a sock hop twist. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in poodle skirts and pompadours for a fun night of talent and fundraising. The evening will include live and silent auctions, entertainment, and plenty of retro spirit. More info here.
8. Oktoberfest Weekend at Local Breweries – Oct 4–5
From brat-eating contests at 28 Songs to stein-holding competitions at Free Roam and Cibolo Creek, Boerne breweries go all out for Oktoberfest. Expect cold Festbiers, themed menus, live music, and plenty of “Prost!”
9. FUMC Pumpkin Patch at the AgriCultural Museum – Opens Oct 10
The patch opens for the season with pumpkins, games, food trucks, and family photo ops. It’s the classic fall backdrop every family needs. We’ll put our local pumpkin patch against any others we’ve seen!
10. Hill Country Mile Rod Run – Oct 11
Main Street fills with hundreds of vintage cars and trucks for one of Boerne’s biggest car shows. Whether you’re a gearhead or just love shiny chrome, it’s a must-see. And don’t miss the pre-show party the night before. Learn more here.
11. Boerne Market Days – Oct 11–12 & Nov 8–9
Shop arts, crafts, antiques, and more at Main Plaza with live music and food trucks to keep the day rolling. Market Days has been a Boerne tradition for ages, and it just keeps growing.
12. Adult Night Hike at the Cibolo – Oct 17
This hike is longer, darker, and designed for adults ready to experience nature without flashlights. Keep your eyes open for nocturnal wildlife that comes alive after dark. Nice and spooky for Halloween season.
13. Fall Native Plant Sale at Herff Farm – Oct 18
Gardeners can stock up on hardy, pollinator-friendly native plants perfect for the Hill Country. Volunteers are on hand to help you choose the right plants for your yard. Learn more.
14. Antique Tractor Pull – Oct 18
Old-school horsepower takes over the AgriCultural Museum with vintage tractors competing in a day-long pull. Food trucks and a gun raffle add to the fun. Bring the family for a day of fun.
15. Barktoberfest – Oct 18
Dogs rule the day at Main Plaza with adoptions, races, and a costume contest. Add in craft beer and family activities, and you’ve got a fall festival with plenty of wag. See what we did there?! Learn more here.
16. Moondance Concert at the Cibolo – Oct 18
The beloved Moondance series closes out the season with Katie Shore performing under the stars. Bring chairs, friends, and an ice chest for one of Boerne’s favorite traditions.
17. Emerson’s Drive – Oct 19
This family fall festival includes a floating pumpkin patch at Vista Swim. Proceeds support a great cause, making it a day of fun with heart. Learn more.
18. Intro to Birding at the Cibolo – Oct 25

19. St. Mark’s Fall Festival – Oct 25

22. Arena Polo Tournament – Nov 1 – 2

23. Boerne Farmers Market Fall Festival – Nov 4
The weekly market goes all-out with bounce houses, music, games, and even free beer for adults (still confirming that part ha). It’s a one-day upgrade to an already beloved market.
24. Fall Diva Night – Nov 6
Main Street becomes a runway for sipping, shopping, and strolling during this ladies’ night out. It’s one of the most festive evenings of the year in downtown Boerne.
25. Mustang Club Fall Car Show – Nov 8
Ford fans gather at Ford of Boerne for a car show benefiting the Boerne Fire Department. Expect Mustangs from every era, plus breakfast tacos and coffee.
26. Private & Homeschool Fair at St. John Lutheran – Nov 8

28. Boerne Handmade Market – Nov 21–22
Over 75 handmade-only vendors fill 1910 Church with everything from jewelry to home décor. This two-day market is one of the biggest artisan events of the year.
29. Turkey Trot – Nov 22
Lace up your shoes and hit the pavement for the YMCA’s annual 5K/10K starting at Main Plaza. It’s the perfect pre-Thanksgiving calorie burn and one of the largest runs in the Boerne area.
