Looking for pizza around town but not sure where to go? Sure, we have all the usual chains, but Boerne also has several restaurants offering really good pizza.
With that in mind, here are 5 pizza spots in Boerne you won’t want to miss.
#1 Tre Pizzeria
Location: 103 N Main St
Located right off Main Street across from the Square, Tre Pizzeria is probably the easiest spot to find in town. Owned and operated by the well-known Chef Jason Dady, they serve up thin, crispy personal-sized pizzas. The building is great, with garage doors that open up when the weather is nice. And the cocktails are great too!
#2 Inferno’s Woodfired Oven & Spirits
Location: 1540 River Rd
Want pizza with a playground? Then this is the go-to family spot in town. On any given day, you’ll find the fenced-in patio packed with kids. The pizza is good, and if you like spicy, Inferno’s is known for their signature Scorpion Pepper Pizza. Not for the faint of heart!
There are also plenty of TVs, making it a great spot to watch sports in Boerne.
#3 Darkside Brick Oven Pizza
Location: 25 Truss Dr
This is easily the most original pizza spot in Boerne, if not the most original restaurant in the entire area. Darkside Pizza is a destination for 80’s nostalgia. Decorated head-to-toe in 80’s memorabilia (think life-size Star Wars figures, Marty McFly’s car from Back to the Future), it’s like you’re travelling back in time when you walk inside. There are even old arcade games to play. But don’t worry, the pizza doesn’t come second in this experience – it’s top notch brick oven pizza.

#4 Richter Tavern
Location: 153 S Main St
Here’s something you might not realize – The Richter Tavern has a brick oven where they cook up some delicious pizza. In fact, this is one of my go-to spots if it’s just me and my son going out to eat, because the pizza is the perfect size to share with him. And we like to sit inside where you get a nice view of the oven in action. He also likes riding the elevator on the way up – not a whole lot of those in Boerne!
#5 Imperfect Pies
Location: 325 S Main St
This local food truck is at Free Roam Brewing Co. every weekend. Don’t let the name fool you – these pies are pretty dang close to perfect. And with it being located in the beer garden at Free Roam, it’s another great spot to take the kids to let them run around while you sit and have a cold beer.
