Boerne continues to see steady growth across dining, retail, automotive, wellness, and wine, with several highly anticipated businesses preparing to open over the next few months and into 2026.
From long-awaited restaurants and wineries to major employers and familiar names returning to Main Street, here’s a look at what’s coming soon and where things stand.
1. Honda of Boerne

Expected opening: Summer 2026
Location: 31905 I-10
Honda of Boerne broke ground in June of 2025. A spokesperson for the dealership confirmed they are currently targeting a summer 2026 grand opening and are actively hiring ahead of launch.
The dealership is owned by the Pohanka Automotive Group, which began as a single service repair facility in Washington, DC in 1919 and has since grown to 23 dealerships across Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, and Texas. The group emphasizes long-term customer relationships, internal promotions, and employee development, values that have helped make them one of the longest continuously operating dealership groups in their region.

2. Carmella’s Pizza Parlor

Expected opening: March 2026
Location: Boerne
Carmella’s Pizza Parlor is targeting a mid-March opening, pending final city approvals. Owner Don Kretz shared that construction is progressing on schedule and that timing largely depends on the certificate of occupancy.
Once open, Carmella’s will add another locally owned dining option to Boerne’s food scene, with more details expected to be announced closer to opening.
3. Missick Cellars

Expected opening: Spring 2026
Location: Boerne area
Missick Cellars is moving closer to opening as it awaits approval of a new septic application with Kendall County. Owner Chris Missick said once the system is installed, the winery should be relatively close to opening, potentially as early as March.
The winery will remain family friendly, with plans for a small commercial playground and several non-alcoholic options in addition to its wines. While Missick Cellars has traditionally focused on producing highly rated, expressive wines, the new space is designed to serve as a welcoming community gathering spot centered around Texas-grown fruit.
4. Art Spa House

Expected opening: Coming soon
Location: 225–227 South Main Street, Boerne
Art Spa House is moving into the former Red Rooster building on Main Street following approval from Boerne’s Historic Landmark Commission for exterior improvements and signage. The Red Rooster closed at the end of 2025 after 35 years on Main Street, leaving the space vacant for the first time in decades.
Owned by Lauren and Robert Bells, who currently operate a spa in San Antonio, Art Spa House will occupy both suites of the building. They will be bringing along with them Scent Chips, a candle store that has been popping up in the old Jac’s space along with Yolie Luna Fine Art and Prints. No official timeline has been announced, but they seem to be making quick work.
5. Gentle Dragon Yoga Boutique

Expected opening: March 2026
Location: 1849 Executive Suites, Suite 209, Downtown Boerne
Gentle Dragon Yoga Boutique is opening upstairs in the former William Hotel building, just a few doors down from Girl’s Night In. The studio will offer small group and private Vinyasa yoga classes, with class sizes capped at 10 students.
Owned by Allison Elizondo, a yoga teacher and trauma recovery coach, the studio is designed to be beginner friendly while still offering depth and challenge. In addition to yoga classes, Gentle Dragon Wellness will offer one-on-one coaching focused on emotional resilience, along with military discounts and convenient parking and elevator access.
6. Harbor Freight

Expected opening: Late Spring 2026
Location: Live Oak Shopping Center, 1000 N Main Street
Renovations are underway for a new Harbor Freight location in the Live Oak Shopping Center, next to O’Reilly Auto Parts. The opening is part of the continued revitalization of the once-quiet shopping center under new ownership and will add another national retailer to north Main Street.
This is the spot where Goodwill was trying to get zoning approval to go, but it was shut down by Planning and Zoning.
7. Hill & Bach Cellars

Expected opening: Spring 2026
Location: 265 Main Street, Boerne
Hill & Bach Cellars has made visible progress in recent months, with renovations ramping up at their Main Street location in the historic Luckenbach house. Updates include a new outdoor fireplace, an addition under construction, new fencing, and a foundation already laid for a future deck.
The winery regularly shares progress updates on Facebook as work continues toward a spring opening.
8. Selah Coffee & Café

Expected opening: February or March 2026
Location: 616 N Main Street, Boerne
Construction is well underway inside Selah Coffee & Café on North Main Street. The family-owned café is operated by Stephen and D’Ann Gimenez along with Aubrey and Travis Tamayo.
Selah will offer coffee with house-made syrups, New York-style bagels with schmear, fresh sourdough and pastries from a local micro-bakery, along with a mini market and bookstore. More updates are expected over the next month or two as the café moves closer to opening.
9. Pan & Coffee

Expected opening: Spring 2026
Location: Fair Oaks Ranch
Pan & Coffee broke ground in fall 2025 and is currently framing its Fair Oaks Ranch location. This will be the brand’s second location, following its original café in Stone Oak. Additional details are expected as construction progresses.
This is located next to the center that houses our partners at Health 210 Primary Care.
10. Girl Happy

Expected opening: February 2026
Location: 1201 S Main Street, Boerne
A new shop called Girl Happy is coming to South Main Street, owned by Michelle Edge, who previously owned Dang Sassy on Main. After stepping away from retail in 2022 to focus on family, Michelle is returning with a new concept focused on gifts, paper goods, custom items, and creative classes.
Girl Happy will offer Bible covers and accessories, Christian gifts, monogramming and embroidery, custom apparel, printed styrofoam cups, spirit wear, and homecoming items. The shop also plans to host mahjong classes and DIY workshops. Misty Stout of Boerne Mahjong confirmed she will be teaching classes at the new location.
The shop is currently awaiting final product arrivals and is expected to open in early February.
What about Boerne Town Center?
Editor’s note: we now have a more recent update here.
If you’ve driven past the Boerne Town Center site recently and wondered whether anything is still happening, you’re not alone. The short answer is yes, the development is still moving forward. Sprouts Farmers Market remains planned as the anchor tenant in phase two, with businesses like Chipotle, Panda Express, and Nothing Bundt Cakes confirmed for the site in the first phase.
According to the City of Boerne, the project is currently in an infrastructure phase that isn’t very visible from the road, including required traffic and site improvements that must be completed before individual tenant buildouts can begin. While construction may appear quiet at times, work is continuing behind the scenes, and several tenants have indicated they are targeting Summer 2026 openings, but there’s no official word there.
